Real Wedding - Canberra Winter Wedding Day at the Marion

A sneak peek at a wonderful winter wedding at Margaret Whitlam Pavilion and the Marion Canberra, ACT

1 min read

J & L decided to get married in the middle of a Canberra Winter.
When chatting with them ahead of the day I knew it would be a day to celebrate taking this step forward, and creating a new life with each other. I knew it was going to be a day for family, and spending time with the people they care about most.

The day started with both groups getting ready at Hotel Realm. Both the Bridal party, and Groomsmen had a chill morning. We then left for an emotional first look at Lyla Bar across the road. These two wanted to see each other before walking down the aisle, and say some vows in private.
Their wedding parties then joined us for a few snaps before we made our way to The Arboretum.

A late afternoon ceremony was a great choice - the light was perfect coming through the windows at Margaret Whitlam Pavilion. The ceremony was short, sweet, and so special being performed by a family member.
We headed to Commonwealth Park for photos at golden hour. We managed to get some beautiful light as we wandered around by the lake.
Then it was into the Marion for the reception - the views from this venue at sunset are magic, looking out across Lake Burley Griffin towards National Library.

It was so special to get to capture this day for these two love birds.
The locations were all the perfect fit for this day, and the fact that they didn't stop laughing, or smiling all day made my heart sing.

Have a great week lovely friend -
Catherine xx
